2010 Deshka River King Salmon Forecast
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has high expectations for the Deshka River king salmon fishery in 2010. Data collected at the Department’s Deshka River weir last summer indicates there could be 10,000 additional king salmon returning to the Deshka in 2010 as compared to last year! Expect the Deshka River king salmon fishery to be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily in 2010, with bait allowed starting on May 15 and a limit of one king salmon per person per day.
