FAIRBANKS -- A woman has been charged with assault after her boyfriend got his leg stuck between two vehicles while trying to stop her from driving while drunk, police said.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that 28-year-old Charlotte Rublee also was charged with misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence, driving in violation of limitations placed on a license and unlawful contact.
According to court documents, emergency medical technicians and Alaska State Troopers were called Sunday night to a home shared by Rublee and her boyfriend.
They found the man, identified only by his initials, with his leg trapped in a pickup truck door, which was stuck against another car. He was freed and taken to a hospital for treatment.
