A Kodiak fisherman has been sentenced for making threats to a federal fisheries observer.
Jeffrey Eugene Scott, 45, was placed on three years probation. He also will have to serve 100 hours of community service and be evaluated for anger management treatment.
Scott's conviction follows his pleas of guilty to two misdemeanor counts.
Prosecutors say Scott was being investigated for dumping 75 tons of fish in Kodiak Harbor on Oct. 7, 2009.
That same day, Scott saw the fisheries observer assigned to his vessel and pounded on her car, pointed and screamed at her using foul language, and then yelled, "I'm gonna get you."
He told authorities that if he saw her in town and not acting in her official capacity, he could do whatever he wanted to her.
