LIBEREC, Czech Republic -- Kikkan Randall of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ola Vigen Hattestad of Norway won cross-country skiing World Cup sprint events on Saturday.
Randall led Hanna Falk of Sweden by a half-second on the 1.3-kilometer course, while Celine Brun-Lie of Norway was third. It was the second career World Cup win for Randall, who finished second in the sprint in Liberec at the 2009 worlds.
"I really like Liberec," Randall said. "It's been a good city for me to race in, and it was great to be on the podium."
It was Randall's third podium finish of the season.
"She seems just unstoppable now," U.S. coach Chris Grover said in a release.
Hattestad won the 1.6-kilometer freestyle race in 2 minutes, 55.3 seconds, beating Federico Pellegrino of Italy by a second. Dusan Kozisek of the Czech Republic was third.
Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland leads the women's overall standings with 1,271 points. Arianna Follis of Italy is second at 880 and Randall moved to 10th with 445.
Dario Cologna of Switzerland leads the men with 1,197, followed by Petter Northug of Norway with 706.
